I helped my friend Lori to make a couple dozen ornaments that she designed out of wine corks--aren't they cute!
These require only a glue gun so would be suitable for older kids. I thought I'd pass along the idea. Materials are under five items: wine corks, googly eyes, red puff ball for nose, brown or black pipe cleaners for antlers, a ribbon or tie of some sort for hanger, and a sharpie if you wish to draw on a mouth. You can add a bell around the neck or leave that off.
Lori hung one around a bottle of wine, and it made a great embellishment for an otherwise less-personal gift.
What ornaments have you made as a kid or with your own family? Please leave a comment on the blog.
