This event was actually held today, but I wanted to tell you about it for next year. I heard about it on the public radio show Off Ramp, and it sounds like a blast.
Since 2002, local surfers have been dressing up in costume and giving a tiki award for best and worst costume, to bring fun and good natured spirit back to the sport and area. The event is held on Sunset Beach in Pacific Palisades and includes a charity raffle and celebrity judging. For details, click on the link above.
